The Cuckoo Haiku

in Summer of 2025 I felt as if i had stalled out creatively for a moment. In an interest to pull myself back into a creative practice I began a daily meditation which became cuckoo haiku - the assignment was simple - take a photo everyday and a write a haiku about the days experience. This lasted 211 days - in January of 2026 a change in technology made the way I assembled the pieces more burdensome so while I have haikus and photos through June - the assembly of them is behind - perhaps someday I will go back to them and stitch them together again.
